Tourism in India

India has been represented as one of the most powerful tourism MARKETS in the world. Over the past few years tourism sector has experienced tremendous growth. In the coming years, it is predictable that the Indian tourism industry will prolong to grow swiftly.

 India offers various categories of holiday tours that includes, spiritual tourism, adventure tourism and religious tourism. The  Government of India has also made a large contribution for the development of the tourism sector. The Ministry of Tourism has played an important role in making various national policies and programs for the endorsement of tourism.

The Department of tourism work night and day to promote international and domestic tourism in the country. Various states in India like Goa, Kashmir and Kerala have taken necessary steps to encourage tour plans.  

Foreign tourists also spend more time in India than in any other country worldwide.  The majority of foreign tourist comes from USA and UK. India is one of the popular tourist destinations in Asia that offers a wide range of beautiful sights to explore. The landscapes, enchanted backwaters, hill stations, historic monuments, forts, beaches, temples and hill resorts  are basic attraction en-route to India for tourists.
